Wise Up To Ppi, Says Burgesses
An insurer is warning that more needs to be done to highlight consumer awareness of Payment Protection Insurance
Research from Moneysupermarket.com has found that only one in seven UK consumers consider PPI as crucial, with almost a quarter of those polled unaware of what the product offers.
Sara-Ann Burgess, proprietor of the insurer Burgesses, says: “PPI is a financial lifeline and could make the difference between homeowners keeping or losing their home if they are made redundant.
“Consumers need to be more aware of the benefits of PPI, as those who are unaware of the financial protection it provides could be putting themselves and their families at risk. In this case, ignorance isn’t bliss.”
